Language as the key to the world

Sometimes great ideas happen spontaneously - like at a town festival 15 years ago, when the desire arose for local businesses to get more involved in the community. The result was the "Business for Werl" association, which has so far invested an impressive €700,000 in language support for primary school children. Together with nine other companies from Werl, Schulte Strathaus is heavily involved in this project, which is ultimately about sustainability in society.

Language opens doors - not only to education, but also to integration and equal opportunities. It is not only an investment in the children, but also in our future, because well-integrated children are the workforce of tomorrow. But this success is not just about money, it is about schools, businesses and committed people working together to make a difference.

Parents play a central role in this process: reading books, looking at picture books, engaging in dialogue - all of this not only promotes language, but also strengthens children's social bonds and self-confidence.
